Introduction: Declutter Your Workspace
With the relocation of work to the home with the current climate. one of the biggest things I need to sort out was organizing my workspace, this started with my desk. for ages I had been using small plant pots for holding my pens and pencils, the main issue with this is they take up a d lot of desk real estate. This is what lead to this project, the organisation on all stationary into a concise holder.
Once I had this created, I realized I had s few other bits I keep on my desk, like glasses cloths, headphones, spear mouse. Microsoft excel 2019 16 34 inch. this is where the second part of my organization system came from, stackable storage.
With both, my workspace is now decluttered and working more efficiently.
Step 1: Pen Pot
Step 2: Creating Pen Pot
First you need to measure the things you want to put in the pen pot, these will be needed for the next steps when you make the boxes.
1. Create a box for each compartment you want.
2. Repeat making boxes for each compartment.
- Use the Move Tool to align boxes into the desired layout.
- Use 'Point to Point' to line the bases of the boxes.
3. First, select the body you wish to move and then pick a point on the shape you whist to move, and then the 'Target Point' where you what to move it to. Repeat making boxes for each compartment.
4. Repeat this till you have lined up all your boxes.
Step 3: Shelling and Combining
5. Now 'Shell' you boxes to make a cavity to put your pens/ pencils in. you should shell this by 1.6mm. You can shell all boxes at the same time. (I am printing with a 0.4mm Nozzle, and this will allow me to have solid walls when set to 2 perimeters)
6. Combine all of the boxes, using the combine tool. https://lasttg188.weebly.com/norton-clean-for-mac-review.html.
7. Fillet the insides of the pen pot to round them, this is optional.

Step 4: Drafts (Optional)
9. I decided to add some 'drafts' to the tops on the pen pot. A 30° draft works well for me size chambers.
10. I added a draft to the top compartment as well.
11. Then use the 'Make' button to export the pen pot for 3D Printing.
Step 5: Stackable Storage

Step 6: Creating Stackable Storage
1. Same as the pen pot design it starts with a box.
- size Length 200mm by 110mm Width and 40mm high.
2. Now add fillets to the four edges of the box.
3. Now create a sketch on the bottom of the box you just made.
4. On the base sketch, offset the outer edge by -0.9mm.

6. Now add a 0.9mm Chamfer to the outside edge of the lip, this eliminates the need to print with support.
Step 7: Strengthening Ridge
7. Now make a construction 'Mid-plane' in the centre of your box.
8. https://dbapfr.over-blog.com/2021/01/xampp-7-4-3.html. Now project in the side edge highlighted in red.
9. Create an Elipse at the centre of the edge you projected in, this will show with a blue triangle. The ellipse should be 16mm High by 4mm Wide. This gives you a shape that we can sweep around the box.
10. Now we have the shape to sweep we need to make the rail. to do this you need to make a sketch on the top of your box and project in the top surface, the same as we did with the edge.
Step 8: Sweep
11. Now define your profile and your rail.
12. Set your Sweep operation to Join. https://flexinjc.weebly.com/itubedownloader-6-2-8-video-downloader.html.
13. Now Fillet the top and bottom of the swept ellipse by 8mm.
Step 9: Shell
14. Now shell the box from the top by 0.9mm.
15. You should now have a stackable storage box. that print quickly and easily.
